This beautiful cottage built of blue lias was in a poor state where the inappropriate cement render was failing and causing hideous damage to the soft masonry medium. After a number of stonework rebuilds and heli-fix repairs, we recapped the buttress with matching double roman roof tiles and applied a ‘Scrape & Bag’ lime render finish. This was then decorated with a rose white lime wash.
