This traditional stone cottage had a brick Victorian extension and was suffering from failing cement pointing and render works. All stonework had to have the synthetic modern paints removed by hand before it was re-pointed in lime with a ‘render-point’ finish. Once the cement render had been removed, all brick areas received a three-coat ‘Scrape & Bag’ lime render, and the entire property was decorated in fully breathable mineral silicate paint.
