wiveliscombe community centre

Woodlouse Conservation were asked to carry out rendering works on Wiveliscombe Community Centre. The random-rubble-built sandstone building was originally used as stabling for the Town’s horses. The Community Centre had been given Lottery Funding to carry out essential remedial works and bring the building up to modern standards, including installing solar panels. The Woodlouse Team removed the old cement-based render and reinstated a traditional 3-coat lime render with a ‘Scrape & Bag’ finish. Decoration works followed with fully breathable mineral silicate masonry paint.

Woodlouse Conservation were delighted to carry out refurbishment works on such an important and well-used local building
