medieval pound
We were approached by the DSWA (Dry Stone Walling Association) to lead a group of volunteers from the Mendip AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) to re-build and re-point a medieval Pound in Rodney Stoke. Blessed with glorious sunshine, we had two fun-packed days showing the enthusiastic volunteers how to restore the traditional stone-built wall using lime mortars. Well done and thank you to everyone involved with us on this project.
Thanks again to the Woodlouse Team. Your efforts were much appreciated and the volunteers really seemed to enjoy it!
