The rather startling modern fireplace was very out of place in our client’s 1800s stone-built barn conversion. The Woodlouse Team created a new chimney using the existing flue and incorporated a beautiful reclaimed elm lintel. The back was faced in local red sandstone and a new slate hearth was laid down. The installation of a traditional style woodburner finished off this very satisfying transformation.
